What is a refurbished laptop?
Refurbished laptops and tablets, also called renewed, remanufactured or re-certified, are previously used computers reconditioned to look and perform as close to new as possible.
What does refurbished mean at Tough Outlet?
We fully restore the computer to like-new working order in our own facility. Cleaning, upgrades and testing are done on-site, and we make sure the rugged rating isn't compromised by cracks, loose parts or missing covers. Very minor cosmetic wear may show. As a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher we install a genuine copy of Windows.
What are the benefits of buying refurbished?
Price. Savings can range from 30 to 90% compared to a comparable new laptop or tablet. Maxing out the memory and adding a fast SSD gives you a well-performing rugged computer for a fraction of the cost.
What warranty comes with a refurbished Toughbook?

Are your Toughbooks "re-certified"?
"Re-certified" usually means refurbished by the manufacturer. Panasonic doesn't sell used or refurbished Toughbooks, so none are truly re-certified. If another seller uses that label, it's fair to ask who certified them.
What is the lead time on a refurbished order?
Every refurbished order is built to order and usually ships within 1–5 business days, depending on quantity and configuration. Ground delivery then takes 2–4 business days. If you need it by a certain date, tell us and we'll make it happen.
Does a refurbished Toughbook include an AC adapter, battery and Wi-Fi?
Yes. Unless otherwise stated, every Toughbook and Toughpad comes with an AC adapter, a battery and Wi-Fi.
