The Toughbook 34 (mk1) is a tablet with an on-screen keyboard. An optional detachable 87-key keyboard with a Copilot key turns it into a 2-in-1 laptop:
- Backlit emissive keyboard (red backlight, 4 levels): CF-VEK335ALM
- Backlit rubber keyboard (white backlight, 4 levels): CF-VEK336ARM
Both include a touchpad with scrolling, a built-in handle and kickstand and a Kensington lock slot, plus a 25-pin docking connector, 3x USB-A, SDXC card reader, HDMI, Ethernet and serial ports. With the keyboard, the Toughbook 34 weighs 5.6 lbs (2.9 lbs as a tablet).
The tablet also has 6 programmable buttons (A1–A4, +, −) and backlit icons for power, battery and storage.
