What is the best tablet for aircraft maintenance?
Most maintenance teams want a light rugged Windows tablet that runs their manual viewer and maintenance tracking software. The FZ-G1 is the lightest and most affordable, the CF-33 adds a detachable keyboard and a larger QHD screen, and the new Toughbook G3 adds IP66 sealing and 6-foot drop testing.
Can these be used as an electronic flight bag (EFB)?
Rugged Windows tablets are used for EFB applications, but EFB use is governed by your operator's approvals and the EFB software maker's requirements. Check those first, then ask us and we'll match a tablet to them.
Will they run our maintenance software?
Toughbooks run full Windows 10 or 11 Pro, so they run the same software as your desktop PCs. Tell us the software and we'll recommend the processor, memory and storage.
Are refurbished Toughbooks reliable enough for aviation work?
